MelanO sponsor the inaugural Professional Jeweller Awards
Dutch jewelry brand MelanO has been confirmed as the sponsor of the Designer-Maker Jewellery Boutique of the Year at the inaugural Professional Jeweller Awards. The Awards will take place on September 4, at Kensington Roof Gardens – London’s most spectacular venue.
Goldsmiths’ Fair new graduate exhibitors
Goldsmiths’ Fair, which is one of the best platform to launch the careers of emerging precious metal designer-makers, has announced this year’s graduate exhibitor, including four jewelry and six silversmithing graduates. Goldsmiths’ Fair director, David Mills, commented: “We are delighted to support the best emerging talent. The Fair’s graduate exhibitors are the UK’s next generation of jewelry and silversmithing stars.”
Cartier x Harrolds event
Harrolds hosted a special event unveiling Australia’s first Cartier concept store at Westfield Sydney. The store celebrates the relaunch of Cartier’s iconic Panthere de Cartier watch. The golden concept space spans 6X3 square metres and will reside at Harrolds for a limited time, until 5 August 2017.
Guy Bedarida buys controlling interest in Marina B. Jewelry
Marina B., the jewelry collection founded by Marina Bulgari in 1978, has found a new majority owner in Guy Bedarida. Earlier this month Bedarida, who spent 16 years as creative director of John Hardy before leaving the company in 2015, bought a controlling stake in Marina B. from Windsor Jewelers, which is maintaining a minority stake in the company.

Vhernier x The children of Haiti
