There could be no more suitable location than the sumptuous halls of the Appartamento dei Principi and the Sala degli Arazzi of Palazzo Reale to accommodate over 400 pieces of jewelery, watches and precious objects, many of which one-of-a-kind. An amazing collection, entirely signed by Van Cleef & Arpels
, which through this event exhibition - from November 30th to February 23th 2020 - wants to celebrate all that world of creativity which the maison has given shape, from 1906 to today. The scenographic set-up conceived by the American designer Johanna Grawunder acts as a side dish, declined in the three main themes that also give the exhibition its title: Time, Nature and Love. Promoted by the Municipality of Milan, Palazzo Reale and the French maison, the exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Cologni Foundation, and is curated by Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewelery Design and Accessory at the Milan Polytechnic and director of the Museo del Gioiello of Vicenza. The concept of Time is represented here in 10 distinct sections: Paris, Exoticism, Lightness, Speed, Visibility, Accuracy, Multiplicity, to which are added the last three focused on Intersections with other disciplines, such as dance, fashion and architecture. Pledges of love and jewelry created on request for the person the object of desire are instead at the center of the section of Love, while in the last three rooms La Natura is the protagonist, with botany, flora and fauna taking shape through jewels dream inspired by them.
