Four Collections of Inspiring Jewels

Whether realized with precious or unconventional materials, or with traditional or avant-garde ideas, the jewelry collections presented during Design Week are an ode to shape, art and function

Misani’s Artistic Sensibility
Having always been related to the art world, Misani, the historic Milanese jewelry house, has created a special capsule collection along with Japanese artist Kyoji Nagatani: ten pieces distinguished for a refined and conceptual style, revealed through the avant-garde shapes reminiscent of nature. The jewels will be presented at Misani’s boutique ono Via Ponte Vetero, 22 during Brera Design Week.

Marco Bicego’s Innovative Still Life Works

Attention to design is one of Marco Bicego’s main characteristics and he has chosen Salone del Mobile week to show his jewels in a new light. The Secret Colors of Milan, by Studio Marco Piva for Marie Claire Maison Italia will be showing in Milan’s historic Galleria Manzoni during the weeks’ events. The show takes visitors on a journey to discovering unprecedented ‘still life’ pieces. Each showcase will feature strong colors meant to make the creations of some iconic collections stand out. Skillfully hand-engraved to take on the appearance of delicate leaves or decisive architectural shapes, yellow gold becomes the star of a sensory experience related to the materials used and the profound connection the brand has with nature.

Paola Grande’s Sophisticated Pop
Pearls, asymmetry, and colors: a pop style turns sophisticated in Popearl, Paola Grande’s new collection. This limited-edition capsule collection reinterprets some jewels from the Balance line, giving them a contemporary twist. Pearls are the absolute star, set asymmetrically, and in many colors and sizes. The new creations will be presented for the first time at Fuorisalone, in a special setting in the brand’s sophisticated atelier, located on Via Fiori Chiari 16, and where Francesco Della Femina and Bloc Studios will have revolutionized the space with furniture, lamps and design pieces.

Paola Mirai’s Techno Jewels
In a week that celebrates function, form and creativity, Paola Mirai’s designs reveal the progressive and astounding side of contemporary jewels. The designer, who produces her pieces in small studio on the Navigli, has given life to an ultra-light and transparent material, taking it from an industrial use to an artisanal one. Polymer gives unique form to every jewel, elegantly creating a transparent cover for a composition of circuits, with unique patterns and electric colors. At Design Week, Paola will be presenting Protected Memories Temporary Store on Via Guglielmo Pepe 36.
