Licia Mattioli's fate was sealed, at leaston paper. The notary office was ready and up and running, but then... a sudden change of route. Fortunately, it comes naturally to say. Because, although Turin now has one notary less, it also has almost seven hundred people employed in various roles in an extraordinary entrepreneurial adventure. The Copernican revolution began a bit by chance in 1995, when her father, Luciano,an engineer who had been at the helm of big companies for years, acquired the Antica Ditta Marchisio, a famous high jewelry atelier that had been doing business in Turin since 1860. Merely an investment, at least at the beginning, it soon, however, became the passion, future and life of Licia and her family. And so, going from a young girl who, from thread and Murano glass beads, created little jewelry trinkets for her friends, she found jewelry trinkets for her friends, she found herself firstly on the bridge commanding a brand that had made quality craftsmanship history, and then, since 2000, at the head of Mattioli, a new company set up to give vent to her desire to create something innovative, unique and personal. Yes, personal, because what inspires the Mattioli firm's collections is mainly the daily experiences and travels of its own founder and creator, able to translate stimuli and suggestions into desirable objects and a range that goes from prêt-à-porter to the most refined and precious haute joaillerie, with evident references to contemporary art. The recurring theme that runs through all this creative story is the playful element in the jewelry produced, which transforms and mutates according to the mood of the wearer, simply by switching an element or putting different piecesing an element or putting different pieces together.

In a word, donating an unusual personalization of look, particularly in thecolor. A versatility taken to the extreme, even in what started off as forged and mounted tobe unchangeable. But in this case, it reflects what Licia knows how to be in life with her list of titles and important roles - first of all, that of the mother of two children - but currently also President of the Industrial Union of Turin and of Federorafi, Vice President of Confindustria Responsible for Internationalization, and, since July 2017, Cavaliere del Lavoro, a decoration of the Order of Merit for Labor. This latter recognition, awarded for her indisputable entrepreneurial achievements which resulted in the crisis-hit Ditta Marchisio's return to a competitive and even appetizing company for a foreign investor  and, in fact, the company was purchased by the Richmond Group in 2013. At the moment, that first step in the jewelry world means almost 400 direct and indirect jobs, to which almost 300 more can be added at Mattioli Spa, with 150 employees – a hundred or so being artisans - and induced activities. And all in Turin and province, another of Casa Mattioli's added values, a company that has proudly insisted on pursuing an entirely Made in Italy route, with no compromises.
