Tiffany meet Paloma Picasso

In 1980 Tiffany & Co. and Paloma Picasso formed their successful artistic association: together they create pieces that become legends, such as the remake of the famous string of pearls, now virtually unobtainable. 

Born in Paris to parents Pablo Picasso and Francoise Gilot, Paloma is famous for her daring and original style, characterized by the use of precious stones in vivid colors. She began to create jewelry as a teenager and her talent led her to design jewelery for the legendary Yves Saint Laurent. In 1979 Paloma was invited by Creative Director of Tiffany, John Loring to design tableware for an exhibition: a year later her first exclusive collection of jewelry was presented. Today jewelry designed by the artist for the famous American maison are numerous and renowned; among them one in particular which has drawn great attention, becoming a piece in high demand. A reinterpretation of the famous pearl necklace by Tiffany & Co. which Paloma reinterprets with extravagance and class. A simple strand of pearls which multiplies by eight to form a tortile composition, with a clasp in gold or silver, inspired by the twisted cord applications that often decorate hats.
