Inside Oreficeria Carli, the charm of history is everywhere. Luchino Visconti filmed part of his film La Provinciale here, not to mention the Oscar-winning director Jane Campion who also used it as a set for several scenes of Portrait of a Lady. Today the store is managed by Pietro  Carli and his children, custodians of a tradition spanning more than four centuries of history • MG
