Bina Goenka goes on NET-A-PORTER
Bina Goenka must certainly have been the lawyer with the most beautiful jewelry in the Courts of Mumbai and London, her respective cities of origin and adoption. Jewelry created specifically for each outfit, as a way to express her own personality. Then, all of a sudden, what was merely a hobby became something more: an overwhelming passion and, eventually, a career. Now Bina divides her time between her two megalopolises where she takes appointments at the Flagship Boutique in the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai and at number 64 Knightsbridge in the heart of the City. Her collectors, who admire the anti-conventional style of her creations, can be found all over the world and, with a new collection created exclusively for Net-à-Porter, their number is bound to increase shortly. «I am very pleased to be working with NET-A-PORTER and to bring our jewellery to a completely new audience. For many years I’ve been making high jewellery pieces for private clients from around the world, but to date have never done a Prêt collection. I’ve relished the challenge of bringing high jewellery techniques and quality into these miniature works of art, and am excited that with the expertise and reach of NET-A-PORTER they will add a touch of high jewellery to people’s every day wardrobes,» says Bina Goenka. Beyond this big new entry, there is Elizabeth von der Goltz, Global Buying Director of NET-A-PORTER. «We are so excited to be launching such an exceptional and unique brand, and to be able to showcase Bina Goenka’s pieces to our customers for the first time. The brand maintains an acute focus on creating only the finest works of art using the rarest of materials. We are delighted the collection will be included in our growing Fine Jewelry & Watch suite in time for the holiday season.»
