Swinging London at IJL

A new season is coming, and starts with the International Jewellery London, from 1-3 September, the UK’s leading trade event with more than 550 exhibitors

Countdown to the IJL, the International Jewellery London, the UK’s leading trade event for the international jewellery industry, that will return to Olympia London from 1- 3 September 2019. With an expanded events programme and sponsored by the NAJ and supported by the GIA, Gem-A, The Houlden Group, The Company of Master Jewellers, and The Responsible Jewellery Council, it will showcase the latest ranges from over 550 high end, finished jewelry manufacturers and designers, and loose gemstones and retail services suppliers. Over all, as in all the events that are respected, prizes will also be awarded to the personalities who have teamed up with the publication Jewelry Outlook, for gaining recognition for a forward-looking global jewelry industry.

Katie Morris, Events Director, International Jewellery London (IJL) said:  “IJL is very excited to launch this new set of awards for IJL 2019. We know there is a huge amount of innovation, creativity, and outstanding educators in the industry and we want to recognise these as movers and shakers, future proofers and stars of their sector. As with many industries, jewelry and watches as verticals are experiencing new challenges and opportunities and showcasing those who are embracing change and innovating through it is vital if we’re to inspire the next generation of jewelers and keep the industry performing at its optimum. A huge congratulations to everyone on this fantastic shortlist!”

And David Brough, Editor of Jewellery Outlook (and contributor of VO+ Magazine), said:  "The quality of the applicants was extremely high. We look forward very much to the announcement of the winners at IJL." Seven are the categories of the Leadins Lights Awards: Best Use of Technology, Fashion Fusion, Course Provider, International Jeweller of the Year, Best Bright Young Gem, Best Fine Jeweller and Blogger Award.

During the three days of the show, there will be also the opportunity to take part to the IJL SS20 Trends Catwalk, that will give visitors an in-depth and comprehensive review of Spring/ Summer 2020 jewellery trends, with daily catwalk shows.
