The world of Martina Grasselli
After graduating from NABA, Martina started at Stella McCartney creating collections of accessories and jewelry. Later came collaborations with names such as Louboutin, J.P. Gaultier, Stuart Weitzman and Max Mara. In 2009 she launched her own brand of bijoux Coliac, soon becoming a complete line of accessories. Here she tells about her tastes...
ON JEWELRY
I believe that a jewel can dress a person without there being any need for other accessories.
I love the Deco period, both in art and furniture. I am also attracted by the geometries of Malevich, the work of Bauhaus, and by the graphic research by Sonia Delaunay.
ON AMBITIONS
To build my brand and perhaps design more than shoes, and to live near the sea.
ON INSPIRATION
The stage at which I concentrate most is when I research the theme. Only when I have a ‘love at first sight’ feeling do I begin to immerse myself in books, photographs and in finding objects.
