To understand the meaning of creations by Sarah Ysabel Narici, founder of the brand Dyne, you don't need to be an expert Egyptologist or have decoded the Rosetta Stone, the 1st century BC inscription found in Egypt by a Napoleonic expedition that finally made it possible to translate hieroglyphics. To some extent, interpreting Loverglyphs, the new collection by the Anglo-Italian designer with a studio in New York, is, and will always be, a mystery, a secret known only to those who own the jewels and have co-created them with Sarah. Because each symbol is nothing more than the graphic transposition of an emotion, an event, the customer’s desires, resulting in the birth of a one-of-a-kind object until it almost becomes a modern amulet, an expression of self, to be exhibited and revealed at will. Unique, unrepeatable stories based on facts of daily and private life, combined with ancient iconography and culture and the background that the designer has made her own in her professional experiences at the desks of Alexander McQueen, Stephen Webster, Marina Bulgari and Lorraine Schwartz and, prior to that, with her studies at Central Saint Martins in London and at the Gemological Institute of America in New York. Roads travelled thanks to passion and the ability to sell, which have also led her to win important awards, including prizes from brands such as Cartier, Swarovski and International Talent Support.
