Names to Know: Ore

If the most beautiful gems are a precious fruit of the planet Earth, the recently established brand Ore, launched this summer 2017, enters the jewelry world to overthrow the rules of luxury and connect us with the universe. Tess O’Leary, founder together with Daljit Singh, explains: «Technology applied to the product focuses on functionality and comfort. We researched into how innovation can create new emotions in the luxury sector.» The ambitious project, supported by a team of scientists and astrophysicists, proposes, for the first time, a series of jewelry made in Vantablack, an extremely rare material created in 2013 and considered the darkest material ever made by man. Looking at the surfaces is like looking into a black hole.

Lucy. Liberally inspired by the famous Beatles' song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, the Lucy ring is the first item of jewelry proposed by the Ore brand. A hand-crafted ring made of 18 carat gold, shiny olivine crystals extracted from Pallasite meteorite and Vantablack.
