Physical: the New VO+ May Issue

We made a clear decision for this May issue. We decided to pay tribute to a stone whose leit motif has a sense of belonging in Italy: coral. And we did it through a highly elegant photographic contribution by asking those who direct the year’s color choices, the Pantone Color Institute, to explain why they decided to dedicate 2019 to Living Coral. An issue that once more presses on the accelerator, giving further voice to the jewelry buyer with a special section, printed on different paper, where we offer three authoritative contributions from Canada to Brazil, passing through the United States. And, in a moment in which the industry is increasingly strengthening its link with the past, we wanted to open the issue with the opinion of a person who spends his time studying the history of jewelry and narrating it with timeless passion: David Webbs’s young historian and archivist, Levi Higgs. There are some great comebacks, like that of Francesca Amfitheatrof, interviewed at the launch of her latest Thief and Heist collection; there are some ardent marine-lovers, such as designer Chiara Passoni with her love for sharks translated into items of high jewelry; and, as always, a great deal of art. In a harmonious and constant dialogue between those who experience jewelry as an authentic opus.
