Bogotà 1996 by Crieri
The first collection of only Colombian emeralds proved to be a success at Vicenzaoro, exceeding a record since the beginning of 2021: more than one thousand pieces, and all one-of-a-kind

Not even the greatest optimist could have imagined it, but without a doubt, Alessandro Saracino has managed to look beyond the situation and imagine a speedy post-pandemic recovery. This is what springs to mind two weeks after Vicenzaoro, where the founder of the Valencian brand was able to triple the estimates made at the beginning of 2021 for the most prestigious of Crieri's collections, Bogotà 1996, the first to focus exclusively on Colombian emeralds. In fact, if in January he had estimated about 350 pieces in all, at the moment, thanks also to the numerous orders closed during the Vicenza event, the threshold of a thousand pieces has been exceeded. This is a highly respectable case history, considering the historical period and the fact that the collection consists entirely of one-of-a-kind creations. Unique pieces made exactly so by the very high quality of the gems, which, as Saracino says, "have not been seen in Italy for over 50 years," and with a price range of €5 to €300,000 to the final public. The concept was rendered to perfection by one of the most admired creations at the show: a necklace with 5 heart-cut emeralds. The aim of this operation was to continue along the path, already plotted 17 years ago when the brand was launched, of proving its ability to specialize: if in fact, up until yesterday, Crieri was synonymous of tennis bracelets, a true cult of Made in Italy jewelry, today the brand also means esmeraldos of rare beauty, certified in Valenza by Pio Visconti and internationally by C. Dunaigre Switzerland.
