Cameo Italiano Presents the Partenope Watch Collection
A stylistic and technical challenge for the Marcianise brand that launches new watches with a shell cameo dial
It will be called Partenope and is the watch collection that Cameo Italiano will officially launch in March. A series of unique pieces thanks to the dial made with shell cameo engraved by hand by the best master engravers of the house. A stylistic and technical challenge that the company has won thanks to its background and experience, having made cameo dials engraved for years for a well-known Swiss watch brand. The watches, which will also have a version with white diamonds (140 diamonds, ed), will go to the public for 450 euros and 1200 for the more precious version with diamonds. The owner Gino Di Luca adds: «For Cameo Italiano this is a very beautiful stylistic operation but we also expect the opinion of the "public". What I can add is the technical difficulty in positioning a handmade cameo, full and rich in nuances and the son of mother nature, between the hands and the Swiss movement whose spaces are very narrow. The challenge also consists in finding the right shell, considering that only one 1 in 20 can be selected for the production of one or two quadrants. Too difficult? No, too beautiful.»
