Cora Sheibani arrives in Italy for the first time with a solo exhibition that unveils her imaginative, botanical world. Titled “Garden Party”, the show is hosted by Von Buren Contemporary gallery in Rome and features over 30 pieces by the Swiss designer, known for her playful, colorful, and distinctly unconventional aesthetic.
Floral architectures, three-dimensional silhouettes, and unexpected materials define Sheibani’s design vocabulary, which steers clear of mere decoration in favor of jewelry that tells a story—bold, personal, and full of character. Her collections—like the recent “Glow Worm” or the iconic “Luna”—explore form and volume with a sculptural approach, always infused with a touch of irony.
Born in 1979 to Iranian parents, raised between Zurich and New York, and now based in London, Sheibani studied art history and design before launching her first collection in 2004. Since then, her creations have appeared at Browns, Dover Street Market, and Bergdorf Goodman, gaining a loyal following among collectors and buyers seeking an aesthetic that blends sophistication with wit.
With this exhibition, open until September 20, Sheibani steps into the Italian spotlight for the first time—an opening move that hints at future expansion and confirms the growing interest in narrative-driven, authorial jewelry that marries craftsmanship, humor, and storytelling.
