Global Markets and New Strategies for Italian Gold and Jewelry Manufacturing

From May 9–12 in Arezzo, Italian Exhibition Group brings together companies and international buyers, focusing on exports, free trade agreements and practical tools for business growth

Wednesday, 25 February 2026, by VO+ Magazine

The international trade show organized by Italian Exhibition Group and dedicated to gold and jewelry manufacturing will take place May 9–12 at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi. High-quality business opportunities in international markets and practical tools for companies are the guiding pillars of the upcoming edition of Oroarezzo.

Between 2024 and 2025, the weight of Italy’s leading export markets for goldsmithing and jewelry rebalanced in favor of the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, and Switzerland. The United States remained substantially stable, while demand from Turkey declined—though the country continues to be the primary destination for Made in Italy products. In collaboration with ICE Agenzia, IEG is working to build a hosted buyer delegation from the most strategic markets, with the goal of surpassing a one-to-one ratio between buyers and exhibitors. Among the new features is the first international congress in Arezzo, scheduled for Monday, May 11, focused on global markets, geopolitical scenarios, and business growth tools, with dedicated insights on India, France, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Mercosur, and Africa.

According to Matteo Farsura, head of IEG’s jewelry trade shows, markets may evolve, but interest in Italian gold and jewelry remains strong. For this reason, the organization is developing a high-profile delegation, with particular attention to the United States and fast-growing markets such as Poland, Canada, and China, in continuous dialogue with Federorafi, local trade associations, and regional institutions. The objective is not only to facilitate connections between supply and demand, but also to provide companies with analytical tools and strategic insights through a high-level international congress.

The 2025 edition of Oroarezzo featured more than 370 exhibitors and approximately 400 hosted buyers. For 2026, IEG aims to further strengthen incoming attendance, with significant representation from the United States and the United Arab Emirates, alongside a strong European presence and a targeted selection from Asia, particularly Japan and China. A share of buyers is also expected from the Mercosur area, including Brazil, Mexico, and Panama. Dedicated networking events and initiatives highlighting the city’s cultural heritage will be organized for hosted guests.

The international congress will also explore the prospects opened by the free trade agreements between the European Union and Mercosur, as well as the trade agreement between the European Union and India signed in New Delhi on January 27, analyzing the impact of the gradual elimination of customs duties. Discussions will also address the decision-making hubs of major brands between France and Switzerland, the reorganization of supply chains between the United States and Canada, and first-entry opportunities into African markets for Italian gold and jewelry manufacturers.
