Founded in 1953 in Idar-Oberstein, Germany’s historic gemstone capital, Groh + Ripp is now run by the fourth generation of the Ripp family. General Manager Bernd Willi Ripp, together with managing partners Sandra Ripp and Nicole Ripp, heads a staff of about 50 employees, carrying on the long family tradition of selecting and processing colored gemstones. Boasting a rare level of gemological expertise, the company’s international perspective is almost globally unrivalled. Their strength lies in the range and quality of their offer: from a single stone for use in an exclusive piece of jewelry to calibrated batches for production, they are able to meet the most diverse requests thanks to a well-established network of responsible sourcing and a deep understanding of the market. Particular gems include extraordinary Paraiba tourmalines, famous for their electric hues and considered some of the most coveted stones; natural, untreated spinels, prized for their rarity and brilliance; and intense rubellites with shades ranging from bright pink to deep red. These gems are accompanied by bright Lagoon tourmalines with refined blue-green tones, and precious tanzanites featuring a captivating blue-violet color. In the in-house workshop in Idar-Oberstein, these gemstones, certified by prestigious independent gemological laboratories such as SSEF and DGemG, undergo custom cuts, engravings, drilling and special finishes in order to fulfill even the most unique requests. Groh + Ripp now serves clients in Europe and around the world, offering quality, reliability and a tailor-made service that continues to make the difference. Anyone wishing to admire Groh + Ripp’s stones in person should come to Hall 3 Stand 154 at Vicenzaoro.
