Oroarezzo 2026, New Routes for Jewelry Export

“The Global Outlook 2026” launches, the first international congress of the Arezzo trade show

Thursday, 07 May 2026, by Lorenza Scalisi

At a time of profound transformation for the gold and jewelry sector, Oroarezzo 2026 positions itself as a strategic compass for Italian companies. From 9 to 12 May at Arezzo Fiere e Congressi, the event organized by Italian Exhibition Group strengthens its international vocation and introduces a key new feature, scheduled for Monday 11 May from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm: the first international congress entitled “The Global Outlook 2026 – Global Jewelry Markets and Concrete Tools for Business Growth.”The congress is designed to interpret new global balances and identify alternative export routes, in response to growing geopolitical complexity, tensions in traditional markets and volatility in raw material prices.«A system-wide response that brings together expertise, tools and strategic vision in support of companies’ diversification strategies,»emphasizes Matteo Farsura, Global Exhibition Manager at IEG.Organized in collaboration with Confindustria Federorafi, AFEMO, MAECI and ICE, the congress brings together analysts, trade associations and institutions to provide practical tools, not just theoretical scenarios. At the heart of the discussion are India and Mercosur, with the prospect of significant tariff reductions; the USA and Canada, between integrated supply chains and new trade dynamics; Africa, an emerging high-potential market for jewelry; and France and Switzerland, strategic hubs for Made in Italy.Among the spokespersons involved will be Maria Cristina Squarcialupi, President of Confindustria Federorafi, who stresses how the current context calls for a change of pace:«2026 is shaping up to be extraordinarily complex from an international standpoint. It is more necessary than ever to understand what opportunities already exist in new destinations and how to use public tools to support companies.» This is a particularly pressing issue for the Arezzo district as well, as highlighted by Giordana Giordini, President of Confindustria Federorafi Toscana Sud:«We cannot think of replacing historical markets, but we can and must equip ourselves to better understand new ones, such as Africa, and make the best use of the tools offered by SACE and ICE.»On the need to anticipate change, Massimo Poliero, President of AFEMO, will also share their perspective:«We are entering a new phase for the jewelry industry, in which it will no longer be sufficient to follow markets: it will be necessary to anticipate them.»This vision is shared by analysts as well. Ciro Rapacciuolo from the Centro Studi Confindustria will open the proceedings with a focus on macroeconomic scenarios and the impact of international tensions, while IC&Partners will explore the role of EU agreements with India and Mercosur, which promise sharp tariff reductions and new opportunities for European exports.Ample space will be devoted to Africa, identified as one of the fastest-growing areas for jewelry demand, and to insurance and financial instruments supporting companies.«We need to start today by building partnerships and understanding local opportunities with a long-term vision,»highlights Patrizia Mauro, Director General of Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo. The event will conclude with the contribution of SACE, reaffirming its role as a strategic partner in supporting companies in emerging markets, protecting exports and facilitating access to credit. With The Global Outlook 2026, Oroarezzo confirms its ambition: not only a showcase of Italian manufacturing excellence, but a hub of vision and tools to shape the future of jewelry exports.
