Tokyo James sculpts beauty in the imperfect, giving voice to raw stones that whisper ancient stories. Ewá, the new jewelry collection, celebrates magnesite, anthracite, and chalk found in Nigeria—pure materials that, when combined with Swarovski crystals, create a vibrant contrast between light and shadow. "Beauty exists in the raw material," says James, entrusting the know-how to the expert hands of a craftswoman who weaves past and present into every bead. The sculptural volumes of the bracelets and the archaic shapes of the necklaces are reminiscent of ancient amulets, while the campaign—featuring a ram as a model—enhances the primitive power of ornament. Ewá is not just jewelry: it is ritual and narrative, a tribute to an Africa that shines in its truth.
