Starting in September, exhibitors and visitors will be able to experience the new Hall 2, further strengthening Vicenzaoro’s role as the leading international platform for the jewelry supply chain.«With the new Hall 2, Vicenzaoro reinforces its position as the leading international platform for the jewelry industry,» says IEG President Maurizio Ermeti. «It provides an even more modern home for the communities that represent the very best in jewelry manufacturing, semi-finished products, and technologies, all of which choose Vicenza as their global meeting place for business and networking. What we have created in the heart of one of Italy’s leading goldsmithing and jewelry districts is also an opportunity for growth for the local area, its businesses, and future generations. A promise has now become reality.» Directly connected to Halls 1, 4, and 6, the new Hall 2 has been designed as the central hub of the entire exhibition venue. The structure spans two main levels, served by escalators and elevators, and includes a mezzanine floor dedicated to services. Inside, visitors will find one restaurant and three bars, adding to the eleven food and beverage outlets already available throughout the venue. For Vicenzaoro, the additional exhibition space makes it possible to relocate the Gold & Precious Jewelry community, previously housed in Hall 4. Thanks to the new layout, T.Gold, the show dedicated to technologies for the jewelry manufacturing industry, moves into Hall 4 and becomes fully integrated into the Vicenzaoro exhibition route for the first time.
In previous editions, T.Gold was hosted in Hall 9, located outside the main exhibition perimeter. Its new location also provides additional exhibition space. The redesigned layout will further strengthen Vicenzaoro which, by bringing the entire jewelry supply chain together under one roof, continues to consolidate its growth strategy and international leadership. On the roof of the new Hall 2, IEG has doubled its installed photovoltaic capacity with an additional one megawatt, bringing the total to 2 MW.
When no events are taking place, the exhibition center is now capable of achieving full energy self-sufficiency.«The greatest challenge we successfully met was staying on schedule,» adds Mario Vescovo, Managing Director of IEG’s Vicenza venue. «We worked under particularly complex conditions due to the logistics of managing a construction site at the heart of an active exhibition venue, without interrupting any events and while ensuring exhibitors remained fully satisfied throughout the transition period. Maintaining continuity across four editions of Vicenzaoro while carrying out a €60 million investment and operating a construction site with zero impact on visitors is a major achievement for us. We are now preparing to launch the transformation of the entire exhibition and convention center. Not only will Vicenzaoro offer an improved visitor experience and smoother circulation between halls, but features such as the nine-meter ceiling height on both levels of the new Hall 2 will also allow the venue to accommodate additional events across a wide range of industry sectors.»
