The last edition of Vicenzaoro before the inauguration of the Expo Center’s new hall, scheduled for next September, is already heading towards success with a total sell-out of every stand due to over 1,300 exhibitors in attendance, including 170 at T.Gold and 55 in the VO Vintage section, which is up 25% compared to last September. A trilogy that is now part of the trade show’s ultra-70-year history, which is about to begin a new important chapter in September with the opening of the new Hall 2, with its 22,000 square meters of exhibition space on two floors, and a new layout that will integrate T.Gold in its entirety. To emphasize this perfect alignment between what Vicenzaoro has become on the international jewelry scene, namely the place-to-be for professionals to meet the right people and to preview the latest collections from the best companies on the market, the claim for this edition is “People · Product · Places”. A slogan that encapsulates the meaning of this correlation of excellence and creativity, in a combination of what has been achieved to date and led us to look forward to a richer future and a shared vision. This constantly evolving approach, which characterizes every event organized by IEG Italian Exhibition Group, is regularly enriched with exciting new features, such as the debut of the VO Awards, new recognitions specifically for creativity, innovation, sustainability and craftsmanship, which will accompany Vicenzaoro as of this January. Consisting of eight categories, Italian and foreign exhibitors from the Icon, Look and Creation communities were able to send in their entries over the past few weeks. A jury of experts from various disciplines have selected the finalists. Their creations will be on display at the show today and tomorrow with buyers and visitors also casting votes to help decide the winners of this new international award, which promotes the product as a series of manufacturing processes, technologies and innovations that integrate with the jewelry world’s typical artisan skills. And speaking of new entries, we cannot fail to mention the five new additions to the Design Room: New Italian Art from Valenza, with family roots in the art of jewelry dating back to the beginning of the last century and a keen sensitivity to new jewelry styles; Vitale Jewelry, from Abano Terme, a brand founded by jeweler and gemologist Riccardo Vitale, with a strong focus on natural precious stones, enhanced in unique, tailor-made creations; award-winning German designer Annelie Fröhling, who combines German rigor with the sensitivity gained from the Italian goldsmithing scene; the collective from the Beijing Design School, an expression of new research into Asian designer jewelry; and Lobortas Classic Jewelry House from Ukraine, which brings over thirty years of artistic high jewelry and a world record with its “Swan Princess” ring, adorned with 2,525 diamonds and recognized by Guinness World Records as the jewel with the most diamonds in the world. This comprehensive representation of the supply chain is flanked by training and communication moments with a packed program of talks organized by IEG and its regular institutional partners, such as Cibjo, Confcommercio Federpreziosi, Assogemme and Assocoral. These will be accompanied by networking events, like the Welcome Cocktail and aperitifs at the show and, from today until Sunday, January 18, VIOFF’s off-show events in the “City of Gold’s” historic center under the banner of the Golden Key concept, with artistic installations and cultural itineraries that also involve the Jewelry Museum, which inaugurated its new biennial exhibition at the end of November.
