Cimo's DCM01 was designed to streamline the process of measuring and sorting precious stones, such as brilliant-cut, baguette-cut and square-cut diamonds. The DCM01 offers repeatability and reliability that current manual systems cannot match (measurement tolerances of +/- 1 hundredth). Besides improving the quality of finished objects and reducing the time spent setting precious stones by hand, it also prepares the stones for automatic setting by sorting them into specific pallets. It also ensures a high level of security within the company, as the stones are sorted, counted and divided into individual pre-set repositories by a machine that minimizes waste and certifies the quantity of measured and sorted precious stones. Thanks to high-definition cameras, the DCM01 can recognize the difference between natural and artificial stones. The machine can be configured and customized according to production needs.
