Indutherm, A New Era for Casting

Indutherm presents its new VC Series casting machines, marking a major leap forward in efficiency, precision, and automation. “We rethought the entire casting process rather than updating an existing design,” says Managing Director Jan Hofmann. A key focus of the new VC Series is a high level of automation to ensure simple and safe operation. One example is Precision Flow Control, which dynamically regulates pressure to guarantee high process stability and consistent quality. Process steps are automated yet fully transparent, while manual adjustments for different alloys or flask types are intuitive and easy to set. All parameters are displayed in high resolution on the new touchscreen interface. Operator comfort and safety are enhanced through an automatic vacuum chamber, which opens via foot sensor, and an automatic melting chamber lock. The advanced data and diagnostics system strengthens Industry 4.0 integration, supports configuration transfer, and enables preventive maintenance. The VC Series offers flexible power classes from 4.5 to 12 kW, along with multiple crucible and flask options.
