Koras Aims for Eco-green 3D Printing

With the EVA distiller, cleaning becomes fast, automatic and sustainable

Tuesday, 20 May 2025, by VO+ Magazine

The latest generation of compact machines by Koras offers a series of process-enhancing features in the field of electropolishing. The product range was expanded last year with a larger version known as the Aquapol® 200: a device that is no longer just table-top, but has been redesigned to process high volumes more quickly (up to 192 rings per cycle). Moreover, the Vario Tank accessory saves time, increases process reliability and, by using the tank, electrolyte and material (from silver to gold, for example,) can be changed in seconds. Then there is the EVA distiller, Koras’ latest innovation, which is primarily aimed at companies where 3D printing is playing an increasingly important role. This device cleans the solvent used in a fully automatic process, ensuring that all contaminants (resins, pigments, inks, oils, solid parts, etc...), are separated. In this way, the solvent drains into a container and can be immediately reused, while the other substances are conveyed separately and disposed of. With this technology, solvents can be reused several times instead of being thrown away each time, thus offering an environmentally friendly and economic alternative to traditional 3D printing systems.
