Sunstone Welders has launched the Orion x-Series, a new generation of pulse arc welders designed to meet the precision and control needs of jewelry designers and workshops. This series represents a complete redesign of the Orion platform and builds on nearly twenty years of development in micro-welding, delivering outstanding results through digital energy management.The range includes two models: Orion 150x and Orion 200x. The first delivers up to 150 joules in 0.2-joule increments, while the second reaches 200 joules with a resolution of 0.05 joules. At the heart of both systems is WeldIQ™, Sunstone’s digital energy control platform, which provides real-time monitoring of power delivery and allows jewelers to fine-tune welding parameters with extreme precision for consistent, repeatable results—particularly important for delicate repairs and stone-set work.Another key feature is the Smart Energy Release system, which delivers only the selected amount of energy, avoiding waste and reducing excess heat. This approach not only protects internal components but also extends the machine’s lifespan. Both models feature a large touchscreen for intuitive operation and integrated 5× microscope optics, ideal for welds as small as 0.2 mm.
