Recovering, refining and reusing precious metals to generate new value for the jewelry industry: solutions from the Monte San Savino-based company, a global reference point in the design and construction of systems for the recovery of gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and rhodium, are oriented towards circular economy, waste reduction, and sustainability criteria with constant investment in research and development for closed-circuit processes and products.
The various work phases in jewelry production imply the dispersion of dust, liquids, metal scraps, and off-cuts: the challenge is to recover them and reinsert them into production. Italfimet is therefore presenting diverse and custom-made systems for totally recovering the precious metal involved in the various production phases - cleaning, finishing tumbling, machining, ultrasonic washing, or galvanic finishing - thus laying the foundations for subsequent refining. Moreover, precious metal salts can be made to promote a new use of those same materials.
