GemGenève at Its Second Edition

GemGenève, the new-generation gem and jewelry show, prepares to open its doors at Palexpo, Geneva, for its second edition, on May 9th (May 9th-12th). Just one year ago, we had the pleasure to discover talented designers, such as the infant prodigy Emmanuel Tarpin - who was the youngest on the show, - and interesting collections like the one-of-a-kind emerald jewels made by Robert Procop in collaboration with American actress Angelina Jolie. This upcoming second edition promises to be a more comprehensive show with 210 exhibitors in all, from countries across the globe, including Taiwan this year, but the founders are determined to maintain the intimacy of the show and the consistent high quality of jewels and gems on offer. The new campaign should tell us everything, it is called “Find and Feel”, and refers to the sense of discovery at GemGenève and the importance of learning, feeling and discovering the gemstones, jewels and pearls on offer at the show. Alongside the renowned dealers – many acknowledged experts in their field - are the top gemmological laboratories, specialist booksellers, and the designer Vivarium, showcasing a curated group of contemporary designer jewelrs from around the world, with recognizable names like Ming, Nadia Morgenthaler, Sean Gilson, Cora Sheibani, and an emerging talents section, featuring the work of up-and-coming Swiss designers, where we really look forward to discover Syz Fireworks: the new project which is the result of the collaboration between Suzanne and Isabelle Syz. Interesting to see also the display of work by students at Geneva’s celebrated art and design school Head. The students took part in a project focused on colored gemstones, supported by GemGenève exhibitor Charles Abouchar.
