Here are all the Winners of the 2018 Couture Design Awards announced last night in Las Vegas
Fifteen on more than 200 candidates. Really a short selection, to be consacrated the best in one category. This is the concept of Couture Jewellery Design Awards, that last night announced the new 15 top brands to follow and to know.
To decide the winners, the judges – 4 true expert like Adam Gorman, Jill Newman, Laura Freedman and Victor Venyan - focused on the on site pieces, and entire community for the “People’s Choice Award” during the Couture Design Awards celebration.
These the categories, to know all the jewelry world: Debuting Brand, Men’s, Haute Couture, Bridal, Colored Gemstones Above $20K, Colored Gemstones Under $20K, Diamonds Above $20K, Diamonds Under $20K, Gold, Pearls, Platinum, Innovative, Silver and, finally, The People’s Choice and The Editor’s Choice.
Starting from the Debuting at Couture Award, an enthused Vram Minassian told: “It took a long time, and it took no time, to get here. The support the last three days has been incredible, and this is the cherry on top”.
It has been not a true surprise to see Fernando Jorge ad the winner of The Editor’s Choice. "From the editors that have so much knowledge, that we love, that are working hard to promote our works, to open doors and opportunities for us. I thank each one of you. I also want to thank the COUTURE community. And this is becoming a tradition; I want to thank Stephen Webster, for bringing me here 7 years ago.”
Who is the best in Silver? Heather B. Moore, thanks to a symbolic meaning of the winning piece: “I travel with my kids around the world, I’m on a quest to make sure they see everything they can. When we were in Africa, we were touched by the animals we needed to protect. Inside of this bracelet is high-polished so you can see your reflection, and it says ‘The Tipping Point.’ We are all leaders in our communities and our actions are very important and we all need to give back!”
About the winner of Haute Couture, has been Nikos Koulis. The Best Platinum, Kuwayama, The Best Pearls, Autore Pearls. The Best Diamonds Below $20K, Studio Reves, and Above &20K, Mike Joseph. The Best Colored Below $20K,Ark, and Above $20K, Amrapali. Bridal category, Eva Fehren. The most Innovative? Stephen Webster. Best in Gold,Carolina Bucci. Best in Men's, Shamballa. And finally, the People's Choice has gone to Jules Bryant.
