The nine winners of the VICENZAORO Jewellery Oscar


Last night the Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards were held at the Italian Exhibition Group’s Palladio Theater, during which many big names in the luxury business graced the stage. Matteo Marzotto, executive vice president of Italian Exhibition Group kicked off the night, presenting Massimiliano Bonoli, the winner of the Best Italian Jewellery Designer category, with a glass work of art by Seguso (founded in 1397), which designed the one-of-a-kind pieces for the nine winners. Corrado Facco, executive director of the Italian Exhibition Group, instead gave Carlo Palmiero the award for Best Italian Jewellery Collection. Federica Frosini, Editor-in-Chief of VO+ Jewels and Luxury Magazine and author of the first ‘Editor’s Choice’ published in the latest edition of the magazine, had the honor of giving Luz Camino the award for Best International Jewellery Designer. Daniela Magnani received the award for Best International Jewellery Brand Collection on behalf of Chanel, presented by Alba Cappellieri, who emphasized the grace and beauty of the Flying Cloud Collection. Cartier won for Best Jewellery Communication Campaign for ‘How Far Would You Go for Love.’ Viviana Caslini, Communications Director Cartier South East Europe collected the award from journalist Alan Friedman. Adi Al Fardan, founder of Adi Hasan Al Fardan Jewellery Trading Llc announced Tiffany & Co. as the winner of the Best Jewellery Flagship Store. Raffaella Banchero, Managing Director Italy and Spain, represented the brand at the show. Caterina Occhio, founder of Seeme, won the Jewellery Corporate Social Responsibility award, presented by Gaetano Cavalieri, President of Cibjo. Journalist and blogger Rachael Taylor had the task of collecting the award for Best Jewellery Communication New Media for Van Cleef & Arpels, for the project conceived and directed by Robert Wilson. And last but certainly not least, the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Elsa Peretti. Maria Doulton, Editor-in-Chief of The Jewellery Editor presented the award to Francesco Calegaro, her historic collaborator.

The Jewellery Oscars include the best Italian and international designers, the best single brand flagship store and the best advertising campaign. Moreover the best Italian and international collections, the company with the best ethical, social and environmental responsibility and the person who, during his/her career, has made a particularly significant contribution to innovating the gold and jewellery world, leaving a mark on the industry and opening new horizons at a creative level, and perhaps elsewhere too.
