JTF 2019: Innovative Technology

20 January 2019: A whole day dedicated to the most current themes in the
gold sector. From new alloys to South American mines. All this at JTF, the Jewellery Technology Forum

Craftsmanship and technology at their highest levels. The jewelry industry seemingly holds two conflicting souls, creating a bond between old- school workshops and the forges of an avantgarde industry. In fact, there is no technology that didn’t start from purely manual efforts, such as a designer’s drafts or the need of an artisan to improve on the production phases. And today more than ever, the companies that operate in the machinery for precious items sector have availed themselves to those who design these items in order to transform them into reality. How? By developing and offering increasingly advanced and customized technologies to satisfy their demands, whether aesthetic or functional. JTF, the Jewellery Technology Forum, is dedicated to this fascinating combination of creativity and high technology. It was conceived though a partnership between Italian Exhibition Group and Legor Group S.p.A, a supply industry leader. In its fifteenth edition, the symposium (held in the Tiziano room, Hall 7.1), respected as one of the most important international events for professional development by those in the business, takes on topics such as the problems arising in micro fusion, galvanism and metallurgy additives, 3D printing and 950 palladium alloys, as well as more general themes that are equally important, such as the macro-economic situation of the gold sector and responsible sources for raw materials, offering an interesting snapshot of mining communities in Peru and Colombia.
