Masera Design at VicenzaOro
Sharing the same criteria of research and innovation as VICENZAORO, Masera Design has chosen The Watch Room to present a new project. Designer Tommaso Masera tells us about it
Why The Watch Room?
We have chosen the new format in order to propose an unprecedented way of perceiving ‘time’ based on off the grid concepts. We want to build a reputation as a reliable partner for traditional sales points, which is why we are limiting our web sales exclusively to authorized channels and at the full price, in an attempt to protect our sales points from a hysterical and aggressive on-line market.
Which collections will you be presenting?
At VICENZAORO we exhibit the first two collections to come out of our studio. ‘Atto Verticale’, which is already on the market, is a brand which meets the demand for wearability and lightness and due to which we are introducing an innovative model with a titanium case. 'Offstage', however, is a line that we launch at the Show: it offers an absolutely new idea for the watch world, but I can’t reveal any more than that.
Tell us more about Masera Design.
Masera Design is a studio that develops various lines. Our research is guided by the desire for aesthetic innovation in order to provide a strong identity. We create different watches in unusual materials and unconventional shapes and colors: a provocation that aims to introduce new concepts onto the watch market.
The 12 Independents
With the new format of The Watch Room, VICENZAORO opens its doors to watches, adding innovative and dynamic content. Located in the hall of the LOOK district, the area will host captivating collections of watches, created by twelve independent brands that make mechanical and quartz watches: Altanus, Bering, Carl Edmond, Junghans, Klokers, Locman, Louis Erard, Masera Design, Memphis Belle, Pryngeps, VictorinoX and We Wood.
