Being David Yurman

Being David Yurman

Admiring David Yurman's jewelry is like entering an enchanted kingdom where everything is possible and the power of vision and creativity is limitless.
Since its foundation, in 1980, David Yurman brought a revolution inside the jewelry world. An example? The Cable bracelet—a twisted helix adorned with finial gemstones—was David Yurman’s first celebrated design. Introduced in 1983, it was an immediate triumph, and remains to this day one of the world’s most cherished jewelry designs. From iconic Cable bracelets to new collections, these masterpieces define effortless American luxury.

Now, the world-renowned jeweler presents the new collection, Châtelaine. Designed as a blend of two distinct inspirations—David Yurman’s mastery of sculpture and his wife, Sybil’s, sophisticated eye for color— Châtelaine Gold (now evolved from the pre-existing Châtelaine collection) is a stroke of artistry. The collection features polychromatic gemstones rendered in David’s signature faceted cushion cut, and all of its pieces are complemented by handset pavé diamonds. Châtelaine Gold will be available in 18k yellow gold and white 18k white gold, with rare stones such as peridot and exceedingly limited tanzanite. As David says, every piece is designed to generate “a deeply personal response.”
