The beautiful echo of ancient times

The beautiful echo of ancient times

The earrings of the collection Settecento (18th century) by Lebole Gioielli draw inspiration from this particular historical period.

These silks are woven by the silk factory Opificio Serico di San Leucio. The ancient factory was founded by the nephew of Francesco De Negri, Genoese master craftsman arrived in San Leucio in 1789 to work at the Silk Royal Colony of San Leucio, founded a few kilometers far from the Royal Palace of Caserta by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, King of the Two Sicilies. The three characters used for these new earrings evoke typical images of the eighteenth century: the Lady, symbolizing the Queen or a lady at the court wearing the typical dress of that epoch; the Crown representing the King; and the Cross, recalling the aristocracy and all the symbols typical of that period. The crown is the leitmotif of the collection and can be combined with either the cross or the lady; with these three elements, therefore, it is possible to compose two pairs of earrings and each pair is always asymmetric, like for the Kimono collection. The earrings of the Settecento collection will give the feeling of wearing a fairy tale, and being transported back into a fascinating and enchanting world of Kings, Queens and Courts.
