New future for a great past
The renowned French jewelry house Arthus-Bertrand is getting an artistic direction for 2017
Arthus-Bertrand, one of the most iconic and older France’s jewelry houses, will start the 2017 with a great revolution. In fact, the oldest, largest and last of France’s great metalworking ateliers, where they turn out pieces for many of the world’s fashion, jewelry and luxury houses, is getting an artistic director, appointing the designer Emmanuel Aubry, as new art director. “The only thing that matters to me is that a jewel takes on a life of its own,” he commented. “What doesn’t matter is whether anyone knows my name, because in my world it’s the jewel and the wearer — there’s no room for a designer between them.”
