Jewelry full immersion at the Museo del Gioiello
This weekend, at the Museo del Gioiello in Vicenza, they celebrate gold and jewelry with a special opening
In addition to Global Exhibitions Day, celebrated on Wednesday, 7th June, the Museo del Gioiello inside the Basilica Palladiana (Vicenza), managed by Italian Exhibition Group in partnership with Vicenza Council, will open the weekend with free entry for everyone. The event aims to promote the cultural universe of gold and jewelry, a sector in which IEG plays a leading role in the world thanks to its VICENZAORO show. The museum is the first in Italy and one of the few worldwide to be dedicated exclusively to the jewelry. On the upper floor of the Museum, guests will enjoy the second edition of the two-year Exhibition, admiring 400 items of rare beauty, displayed in 9 themed rooms, each under the curatorship of an international expert, reflecting the principal meanings behind jewelry: Symbol, Magic, Function, Beauty, Art, Fashion, Design, Icon and Future. The ground floor, however, is currently hosting the temporary "Dames and Knights” exhibition (on display until 17th September 2017), which, with 40 items featured, celebrates and recalls the historic tradition of honorary jewelry.
