GCDC Awards at Goldsmiths’Hall

Into the artistry and craftsmanship of today’s leading jewellers and silversmiths in London
 

On Monday 27 February the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council welcomed its guests to the dazzling surrounds of Goldsmiths’ Hall - London, for its annual Awards evening dedicated to superior design and craftsmanship in jewellery, silversmithing and the allied trades. Announced by renowned jewellery expert, Joanna Hardy, 124 winners were honoured in 24 categories, with 31 Gold Awards, 39 Silver Awards and 54 Bronze Awards. The Goldsmiths’ Company Award – an exclusive award only given when, in the Council’s judgement, an entry achieves the highest standard of creative design and originality - , went to Tom Rucker for its Platinum and Diamond BroochPendant. Louise Seijen ten Hoorn won the Gold Award for Fashion-Led Conceptual Jewellery, thanks to her wonderful necklaces called Equilibrium while The Dune Stellar Detachable Earrings by Tomasz Donocik were the winners of several awards, such as The Gemmological Association of Greta Britain (GEM-A) award and the IJL Award for Precious Jewellery.
