Osigem: the 5 C’s

The fifth ‘C’ added by De Beers certifies the quality of diamonds distributed by Osigem.

Carat, Colour, Clarity, Cut are the 4 C’s which identify the highest quality diamonds. But there is also a fifth ‘C’ which not all diamonds can obtain. The fifth ‘C’ was created by the International Institute of Diamond Grading & Research - IIDGR De Beers Group - it stands for Confidence and refers to the certainty of the transparency of the mining process, according to requirements set out by the Kimberly Process which in turn abides by decisions made by the United Nations. The intention is to provide clients with all the possible guarantees of quality. Osigem signed an agreement with the De Beers group which allows the Italian company to import diamonds certified by IIDGR. The diamonds, distributed by Osigem, are the only ones in Italy to bear the DBG mark (De Beers Group) IIDGR followed by a certificate number. Within the certificate itself and engraved on the girdle of the diamond, thanks to a special laser-engraving method, this mark guarantees the quality of the carat, colour, clarity, cut and confidence. This important partnership between Osigem and IIDGR De Beers Group ushers in a new era of trust and dialogue, within the framework of extreme transparency which is a testament to the ethics selected by both companies as the cornerstone of their business •
