Five jewelry designer and their contemporary works to discover in London
 

Taking place at the Business Design Centre in London from today, 28 June, New Designers is an important design event in the UK which brings together design education, design consumers and the design industry to celebrate and recognize the next generation of graduate designers. A place for emerging design where to go and see the latest design trends. Now in its 32nd edition, the two-part show continues to deliver new generations of brilliant individuals, including some interesting contemporary jewelers who, with their works, show what it might happen in the future of jewelry.

 

SONG WANG’s collection of statement necklaces and bracelets entitled ‘Emotion Dialogue’ is made from a combination of heat sensitive materials and acrylic, so that when the wearer experiences strong emotions the jewelry changes color to reflect this.

APPLYING motion to express the mystique and magical forms of the human body is the key determining process in Chen Cheng's jewelry project. Using fine wire and simple shaped metal to build the minimal forms, the designer aims to encourage the wearers to touch, feel and discover the meaning and concept behind the jewelry pieces.

THE STUDIO STRUKT created 3D printed jewelry inspired by neofuturistic architectural structures.

STEPHANIE HOLT works with precious metals and modern materials to create statement pieces of contemporary jewelry that surprise and engage.

CHLOE LEWIS created a connection between research on the Arctic Ocean and the processes she use to craft her jewelry pieces. Using drop water casting in a variety of different temperatures she transforms the Arctic into wearable structures.
