Anna Maccieri Rossi: Carpe Diem with Twist!

High Jewelry inspired by the world of timepieces. This is the “trademark” of Anna Maccieri Rossi, a designer who recently landed on the Twist platform, winner of the GEM Awards 2020 for Retail Innovation

The GEM Awards for Retail Innovation that Twist won at the last edition of Jewelers of America in January 2020, definitively consecrated the work done in more than 20 years’ activity, first offline and then online, by the two founders, Paul Schneider and Lauren Eulau. And Anna Maccieri Rossi, one of the Names to Know in the new wave of Made in Italy High Jewelry, has just landed on their channel, with its smart approach and a rich portfolio of independent designers of worldwide origin. Her professional career has been interesting: after having designed successful wrist instruments for Jaeger-Le Coultre, Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Bulgari and Salvatore Ferragamo – where she is still Senior Watch Manager and Designer – for the last two years, Anna has been the owner of a company that bears her name, whose jewelry lines are conceived to enhance aesthetic and technical details that refer to her much beloved world of timepieces. The latest Maccieri creations are the Carpe Diem and Night and Day collections, whose names already evoke a world made up of minutes, hours and days passing by. «I would like my jewelry to re-awaken a sense of awareness in people, transmitting a fundamental message: time is now, it is precious, and we have to live it and appreciate it to the utmost. In a word, Carpe Diem! Both the items in this collection encase a watch movement with one single, star-shaped hand that moves every second free of the dial. The aim, however, is not to give information but to simply remind people to live. Night and Day, on the contrary, derives from the desire to be able to wear a jewelry item from morning to night, adapting it to the occasion with a mere gesture. Just rotate the necklace, without even taking it off: the mother-of-pearl makes way for a blue aventurine and the mood changes.»
