Bhagat at Tefaf Maastricht

From March 7th to 15th, the world’s premier fair for fine art, antiques, jewelry and design, will welcome the Indian jeweler Bhagat, amongst many other jewelry icons.

Tefaf Maastricht will take place from Saturday, March 7th,  until March 15th. Featuring over 275 prestigious dealers from 20 countries, Tefaf Maastricht is a showcase for the finest art works currently on the market. Alongside the traditional areas of old master paintings, antiques and classical antiquities that cover approximately half of the fair, you can also find modern and contemporary art, photography, jewelry, 20th century design and works on paper. Amongst the selected jewelers that will exhibit, there will be also the Indian jeweler Bhagat.

Mumbai-based jeweler Bhagat produces fewer than 60 pieces a year. They work with a strictly limited but opulent palette of precious gemstones, often rare and important stones in vintage cuts, and platinum. Each jewel is made by hand. Each is unique. The essence of Bhagat’s originality lies in the manner in which they unite classical Indian forms and motifs with a contemporary sensibility that, while it combines aspects of east and west, is entirely international, and entirely their own. Bhagat has been a family jewellery business for over a 100 years. Now in its fourth & fifth generations, Bhagat is run by Viren along with his two sons, Varun & Jay. In recent years, their works have been displayed at the Kremlin State Museum in Moscow, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Miho Museum in Kyoto, The Grand Palais in Paris, Palazzo Ducale in Venice and the Palace Museum in Beijing.

Bhagat has grown to earn immense benevolence and prodigious trust amongst people for crafting outlandish jewelry pieces that preserve eternal grace, thereby staying true to their tag line:
"FOR TRUST AND ELEGANCE"
