Evolution and growth of the 16th edition of the event


More than 500 brands from over 10 countries will have six days to show the best of their productions. Location, the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), from today to the 25th of February. Event, the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE), at the 16th edition. The reveal marks take on a more leading role in the global jewellery market. The 2019 event is set to showcase a range of classic and contemporary luxury collections from global brands and designers and is one of the largest and fastest-growing luxury exhibitions in the region. The event has seen a 17 per cent increase in brands represented between 2017 and 2018; 93 percent of the brands are international, with over a third originating from Switzerland and Italy. The number of visitors increased from 19,300 in 2017 to more than 23,000 in 2018. Ahmed Al Obaidli from QNTC commented, “This is the sixteenth consecutive year, and the large number of participants from across the globe – from Geneva to Mumbai, to Paris and Beirut – shows the confidence that international, regional, and local brands have in the Qatari market. It provides a remarkable networking platform for companies and visitors in Qatar and beyond, and displays Qatar’s renowned hospitality, and world-class exhibition and conference infrastructure capabilities including showrooms, facilities, and organisers." Among the brands, Zydo, Dreamboule, Utopia, Yoko London, Kiswah, Boghossian and David Webb. A listing that shows the international soul of this exhibition, whitout forgetting a focus on local traditions, with the Young Qatari Designers initiative. held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The initiative will present the creations of 12 local designers in a pavilion dedicated to showcasing Qatari talent.
