Elie Top For Sotheby’s

A selection of lots curated by Elie Top are on sale from today at Sotheby’s auction “Joaillerie Paris”

Elie Top has lent his expertise to two Sotheby’s sales: he has curated a section of thirty lots of the Paris Fine Jewels sale and he offered twelve of his own creations in an exclusive online sale. His selection celebrates the retro style of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, with bold and timeless designs in vibrant gold and diamonds. Highlights include a gold and diamond Tank ring of geometric design created in 1945 by Suzanne Belperron – a strong influence in Top’s work, a diamond demi-parure “Tourbillons” by Van Cleef & Arpels, circa 1948, including a brooch and a pair of earrings of floral design, and a double gold and diamond clip brooch designed by Sterlé in 1951. Furthermore twelve of Elie Tops’ own playful high jewelry creations masterly combining patinated, oxidised silver surfaces with fine gold structures, glistening diamonds and unusual hardstones and semiprecious stones are alredy available, as part of an exclusive capsule collection on sale online on Sotheby's website until the 7th of May.
