Fope Celebrates Milan
A new high jewelry collection and the first showroom in Milan: Fope pays homage to Italy's design capital
Milan in the heart of Fope and Fope in the heart of Milan: the link between the historic high-jewelry brand and the city of Milan is further strengthened by two recent initiatives: the opening of the first showroom in Palazzo Borromeo, located in the city center, and the launch of the exclusive Montedoria collection as a tribute to the capital of design.
Inspired by the iconic Montedoria building, Maestro Gio Ponti’s last great Milanese work, Montedoria's splendid one-of-a-kind pieces reinterpret the building's stylistic architectural features, characterized by geometric rigor and distinctive green ceramic cladding that make it stand out in the urban context.
The soft and flexible texture of the Novecento gold mesh, used in multiple strands to recall the brand's heritage, is embellished with large geometric elements in black gold set with white diamonds and emeralds. This design is a tribute to the brand's iconic green, inspired by the Palladian Basilica in Vicenza.
The collection is divided into two distinct sets: Montedoria Navette and Montedoria Quadra.
Montedoria Navette comprises a necklace and a bracelet, both featuring a large navette emerald set at the center of a geometric element. Four strands of Novecento mesh, interspersed with white diamond and emerald pavé on black gold, create an elegant contrast, enhanced by a distinctive matte finish.
Montedoria Quadra, on the other hand, features a necklace, bracelet, and earrings that recall squares and the symbolism of the number two, evocative of perfect symmetry. Each element in the Novecento mesh strands and the rondelles of white diamond and emerald pavé connects harmoniously with the next, creating a balanced and refined structure.
The launch of the collection coincided with the opening of the brand's first Milanese VIP showroom. The new venue, suspended between two courtyards decorated with frescoes and elegant porticoes, was designed by Vicenza-based ASA Studio Albanese. Its contemporary and essential ambiance is perfectly in line with the aesthetics of the jewelry.
