Gio Sampietro: The New Rising Name in Jewellery
Selected for the 2026 AZ Academy, the programme backed by Richemont Group and Accademia Costume e Moda to support the most promising emerging brands, Gio Sampietro brings fresh aesthetic possibilities to contemporary jewellery
Evolving shapes characterize jewelry designs by Gio Sampietro, a studio founded in 2024 by Giorgio Olivero, recently selected for the AZ Academy 2026 promoted by the Richemont Group and Accademia Costume e Moda to support the most promising emerging brands. The designer explores new aesthetic possibilities by combining traditional craftsmanship and customized digital tools with careful observation of natural processes. The genderless, sculptural pieces capture a moment of transformation, translating changes in volume and rhythm into wearable forms. «I look for the unusual and strange creatures I can connect with,» he explains. «Each one reveals something about the limits of my imagination and that keeps me going. It's a vital method, based on uncertainty and improvisation. It reflects our way of living and perceiving. Jewelry is my medium as well as a lens for focusing, perceiving and understanding.»
