On Friday 10 September, the inaugural talk "The state of the art", organized in collaboration with Il Club degli Orafi Italia, will take a snapshot of the goldsmith-jewelery industry, from extraction to production, from the finished product to distribution, passing for dedicated technologies. The moment of discussion and reflection includes contributions from all the representatives of the supply chain, it will be introduced by the presentation of the updated results of the sector research carried out by the Intesa Sanpaolo Study Center and enriched by the participation of a parterre of excellent representatives of the sector, including Stephen Lussier, Executive Vice-President Consumer and Brands of De Beers Group. Then the look to the future and its challenges, especially in terms of sustainability and women empowerment.
On Sunday 12 September Vicenzaoro will host the highly anticipated "Sustainable Development Goals: meeting their challenge" seminar, organized by CIBJO, the World Confederation of Jewelery and promoted by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The objective is to provide a focus on the implementation and incentive strategies in the sectors of jewelery and the extraction and processing of precious stones of two of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN Agenda 2030: Responsible consumption and production (SDG 12 ) and Gender Equality (SDG 5). Female voices and professionalism also in the limelight with GEMOLOGY WOMEN ICONS and WOMEN IN JEWELERY, respectively scheduled for Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September.
