Linking the purchase of a piece of jewelry to the possibility of knowing every detail of its creation, from the sourcing of the stones to its manufacture, from its design to its packaging, right up to its arrival in the boutique, and therefore also choosing it for its most hidden soul, is a theme that is at the core of many marketing strategies today. Especially that of De Beers, a topic within this issue, which, with the Origin Story project, is focusing everything on a new storytelling designed exclusively around the world of natural diamonds. A narrative that, from the mine enters the boutique to boost the younger generations’ desire to buy a natural stone while also making the value of history and experience the focal point of the business again. The September issue therefore places these themes at center stage, underlining an ever-increasing market trend that gives jewelry a more complete role, as Lorenz Bäumer explains with his digital passport project linked to IRL (in real life) experiences.
