The collections seen during the Parisian Haute Couture fashion shows for S/S 2022 reveal the combination of dress/jewel in a renewed vision
The Parisian event dedicated to Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2022 is always important to understand how the idea of decoration evolves from season to season. During the latest fashion shows, which marked the rhythms of the Ville Lumière in the week of January 24, although not all the designers decided to complete their outfits with precious accessories, what emerged most strongly was the vision of a jewelry which is increasingly connected with clothes and body shapes, as if the jewel were a natural extension or as if it were a fundamental part for the final expression of an aesthetic imagination. Precious clothing items just like a jewel and jewels that are worn as clothes were seen on the catwalks of Maison Schiaparelli, Zuhair Murad, Valentino. “Alien” and fluid designs on those of Jean Paul Gaultier and Fendi. The whole thing dominated by the presence of gold, crystals and delicate mini beads.
