Mother’s Day is just about to come and as it always happens, jewelry is in the front row as the best gift ever. For this so special occasion, Sunday May 13th, we have selected three Italian brands that have decided to link their names to non-profit organizations, to give love and hope to women in need: Caterina Occhio, signature of SeeMe, Gaia Spallanzani of the same brand name, and Chiara Carli, who is behind Pesavento.

Marella and SeeMe. Two different ways to represent concepts of design. In this case, the aim of design is to make an impact that goes beyond the manufactured object. This humanitarian project is called #neveralone, and it is the result of a unique collaboration that has led to the #heartmovement line of jewels by Caterina Occhio, founder of SeeMe, a brand that is already well known for its ethical pieces. The objective of this project is to help women in need single mothers, unemployed women or women who have been victims of violence. The idea is to o er them work opportunities in their countries. The collection’s main motif, the heart, has been created in a simple way but has such a deep meaning, from the traditional Tunisian circle.

Pesavento, the brand from Vicenza, is supporting WeWorld Onlus with a charity initiative that involves the sale of a limited-edition bracelet from the Polvere di Sogni collection. This is something that Chiara Carli, the owner and creative director of Pesavento Art Ex- pression, truly wanted to take support. A percentage of sales will go to the non-profit organization, which has carried out its work in Italy and abroad for more than twenty years to promote and defend the rights of women and children. This collaboration took place dur-ing the month of March for International Women’s Day, and it will be repeated in November for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

BIG, as in Breast International Group. Research and treatment for breast cancer are the deserving missions of this no-profit project sponsored by Spallanzani, a historical Milanese jewelry company, which, in order to make a real and signi cant contribution to the battle against cancer, has created a splendid 18k pink gold bracelet. Part of the profits will, in fact, be donated to the project to help young female cancer su erers become mothers. A special and valuable jewelry item, enriched with a mother-of-pearl heart, the symbol of a mother’s love for her child.
