Premiere: Digital Reborn

Oroarezzo’s contest reaches its thirtieth edition, seen for the first time in its web version through live streaming. Fifteen companies awarded, all skillful interpreters of the “Re_Start” theme

Let’s start with the macro numbers: 63 competing companies of which 15 awarded live on Instagram (5 for each of the three categories, Fashion, Entertainment, Journalism) with an overall total of 315,000 viewings between those on the web platforms and through newsletters. This, in a nutshell, was the thirtieth edition of Premiere, Oroarezzo’s contest which, this year, took place in virtual mode for the very first time. As usual, the contest saw companies from all the main Made in Italy jewelry manufacturing districts taking part, each duly presenting an item inspired by and on the “Re_Start” theme. «It was really difficult to decide on the winners from so many items of jewellery, all extremely beautiful,” Beppe Angiolini admitted. “The magnificent jury, which I thank, together with my friends at IEG, for having pushed forward with this project with enormous passion, was impressed by the creativity, workmanship and artistic ability of the competing companies who did great credit to Italian jewelry and Made in Italy. And we, so sensitive to beauty, were spellbound.» A team effort put even more further to the test (and brilliantly overcome!) by the post-crisis situation and which therefore has even greater added value: «We wanted to give Oroarezzo continuity with Première, one of the most popular events for the community,” explained Matteo Farsura, Brand Manager. “By focusing on digital, which is now of prime importance in the sector’s ‘new normality’, we were able to support companies in acquiring new digital skills.» And Adelaide Ruzzi, IEG’s Office Manager at Arezzo, added: «The new concept was highly appreciated by the jewelers who, despite this particular moment, knew how to seize the opportunity with enormous enthusiasm. The digital world has officially entered into their communication channels and is destined to stay, just like Premiere Digital, which will continue to enrich Oroarezzo’s contest in the future.»
