Rebirth is like the trajectory of the stars in the sky. They come to life, rise high and then fall (4). We are reborn after having experienced the silence and solitude of a long night, returning to shine even brighter than before (2). We are reborn in order to once again appreciate the essential and understand how wonderful it is to see through different eyes (3), focusing on those things that are visceral and under the surface, eager to come out after all of the confused thoughts have been quelled (5). Being reborn means starting from a pure state (6), reinterpreting the world around us, with an absolute break in the continuum (1). These are the themes chosen by six international photographers who’ve been tasked with interpreting the concept of rebirth for us; this is the artistic dialogue that runs through all of the images we’ve gathered together in this portfolio.
